At the Refuge, we have partnered with several missions in other nations.  Additionally, we have a heart for local missions and community outreach as well. 

Active Missions

Kenya, Africa

We have partnered with The Refuge Church in Bulimbo, Kenya to disciple pastors and leaders in rural areas of Western Kenya , to expand the church facilities to better minister to widows and orphans, and to build water wells.

Cebu, Philippines & Camotes Island

Led by Refuge members, Bryan and Tara Walters, we have partnered with leaders in the Philippines to disciple pastors and leaders, evangelizing the lost and ministering to widows and orphans.

Heart for the Nations - Houston, TX

Our most recent partnership is with  Heart of the Nations founded in 2018 by Russell and Sheryl Whipkey who have  joined us at the Refuge.   They have ministered to nations all over the world .  Their vision  is to go and help send missionaries where the needs are greatest, sharing the love and grace of Jesus, making disciples, planting churches, and teaching other to do the same. They are have  Mission Trips potentially slated for the Dominican Republic (DR), Nicaragua or Sri Lanka  soon.  Keep an eye on upcoming trips.  

Upcoming Missions

Feb 2025- March 2025 - Philippines

Bryan and Tara Walters will be traveling to the Philippines for approx. 4 weeks.  Items on their agenda:

  • Pastors Conference
  • Pastor training
  • Job creation discipling for local pastors
  • Ministering and preaching in local churches
  • School Ministry (feeding, sharing the Gospel, providing school supplies)
  • Widow Ministry (prayer and providing food)

Partner with this Mission

March 2025 - Dominican Republican
